Modern ’til Midnight

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth certainly knows how to celebrate the witching hour of midnight, or more precisely, the six hours between 6 p.m. and midnight. For hardcore art lovers, there is not one but two exhibitions ("The Collection and Then Some" and "Focus: Rosson Crow") to take in. For foodies, there is the always inventive Cafe Modern. And music lovers can take to the outdoor sculpture garden to listen to everyone from Dan Deacon to Denton’s Fight Bite. Modern ’til Midnight begins at 6 p.m. today at the museum, 3200 Darnell St. in Fort Worth. $15. 817-738-9215; www.themodern.org.

Have a wine time

Grapevine’s 17th annual New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail is in high gear today. Start the day at Delaney Vineyards for the Blessing of the Vines, wine tasting and live entertainment. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., a shuttle bus will make runs to all the winery tasting rooms in town for food, entertainment and, of course, plenty of vino. The day gets capped off with a Jazz Wine Train, on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wine Trail Passports are $45 per person; the train ride is $55 per person. www.GrapevineTexasUSA.com; 817-410-3185.

Walk like an artist

It’s time for the Dallas Spring Gallery Walk. Today, Dallas art dealers throw open their doors, uncork the wine and stack up the cheese chunks for their free semiannual open house. It’s best to start the tour with a map. Find one at www.dallasartdealers.org. Hours are 2-8 p.m. The best starting point is on Dragon Street, where many of the most contemporary galleries have relocated in recent years. 214-943-1099.
