Portfolio Winery aids Laotian children

Portfolio Winery, co-founded by Dr. Luc and Genevieve Janssens, and their foundation, Lao Rehabilitation Foundation, joined with Plasticos Foundation to treat 95 Laotian children with cleft lip and palate deformities.

Dr. Janssens coordinated a trip to Laos in January to provide the surgical care and to train four local doctors, two anesthesiologists and a score of nurses. It was the second such trip for the two organizations.

The trip was funded in part from the sale of large format bottles of Portfolio Limited Edition wine, selling for $1,000 per bottle, with all profits going to the foundation.
