Chile Winery Concha Y Toro 1Q Sales Gain 12.8% On Year Article

 SANTIAGO (Dow Jones)--Chilean winery Vina Concha Y Toro SA (VCO) posted first-quarter consolidated sales, including exports, of 68.58 billion Chilean pesos ($119 million), a 12.8% on-year increase, the company said Thursday.

Export sales increased 13.7% to CLP49.60 billion, domestic sales gained 4.4% to CLP10.07 billion, sales from its Argentine subsidiary jumped 21% to CLP5.30 billion, while miscellaneous sales climbed 14% to CLP3.61 billion, the company said.

In terms of volume, export sales increased 8% to 31.5 million liters, domestic sales inched up 0.9% to 14.1 million liters, while sales in Argentina fell 8.9% to 4.3 million liters.

All figures reported are preliminary figures, Concha Y Toro said in a brief statement.
