Hunterdon Art Museum, Wine Master Plan Annual Tasting Event

CLINTON -- The Hunterdon Art Museum and wine expert Christopher Cree, owner of 56º Wine store in Bernardsville, will present the eighth annual Spring Wine & Food Tasting on Saturday, May 16.

A benefit for the museum's exhibition and education programs, the event will be held at the museum, 7 Lower Center St.

The fundraiser will include a pre-tasting wine seminar, "Wines of the Rhone Valley and South of France," led by Mr. Cree from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Seating at the seminar is limited.

A walk-around wine and food tasting follows from 4 to 6 p.m. More than 75 great wine values from small, artisan growers will be available for sampling.

Participants will also sample a variety of food donated by local restaurants and businesses including Metropolitan Seafood Company, Pru Thai, the Fine Diner, the Garden Gourmet and Wegman's. Those attending will also have an opportunity to bid on a wine tasting for 10 with Chris Cree in their own home or another location.

Reservations are $100 per person for the wine seminar and wine tasting and $60 per person for the wine tasting only. To reserve a ticket or buy raffle tickets, call 735-8415 ext. 10 by May 8.
