Idaho wine producers give state economic boost

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A study has found wine producers in Idaho contribute $73 million in economic value to the state.
The Idaho wine industry is centered in the southwest part of the state in Canyon County.
The study by Boise State University found the industry supports 625 full-time jobs and produces $19 million in employee wages.
The study found the state has 38 wineries, up from 11 in 2002.
The study was paid for by the Canyon County Economic Development Group and the Idaho Grape Growers and Wine Producers Commission.
