Casino Night At Wine And Food Festival
White Plains, NY - All bets are on “Casino Night” for an exhilarating evening of food, fine wines, casino games, cocktails, entertainment and more as celebrity chef Peter X. Kelly hosts this fundraising event on May 16, from 9 p.m to 1 a.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown, NY.
Part of the proceeds from this $100 per person event will benefit the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.
As part of the Greater New York Wine & Food Festival, “Casino Night” will feature Chef Peter Kelly’s delectable culinary creations paired with a diverse selection of fine Chilean wines, live music, a guest host DJ from 107.1 FM The Peak, silent auction items and of course, casino games. Guests will shoot craps, play Texas Hold ‘Em and enjoy an over-the-top tasting menu created and hosted by the owner of the Xaviar Restaurant Group.
For more than two decades Peter X. Kelly has set the standard for dining in New York with his contemporary American cuisine. In 1983, at the age of 23, this self-taught chef opened the
original Xaviar’s in Garrison and began his journey to success. To date, he owns four of the most acclaimed restaurants in New York State: Xaviar’s and The Freelance Cafe & Wine Bar in Piermont; Restaurant X & The Bully Boy Bar in Congers; and X2O in Yonkers. They have all received popular praise and the industry’s most coveted awards including The New York Times highest rating (Extraordinary), the Mobil Travel Guide Four Star Award, the Dirona Award, Restaurant News Dining Hall of Fame, Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence, Zagat’s Survey (29 out of 30), and more.
Chef Kelly’s “Casino Night” menu will include Kobe beef “dogs” in pastry, braised short ribs Wellington, a lobster and Mascarpone tartlet, coconut shrimp with Dijon mustard sauce, a filet mignon slider served on garlic brioche, herb roasted turkey with Gruyere and scallion dressing, a parfait of Yuzu marinated shrimp with fennel panna cotta, and a full presentation of fresh sushi. Desserts will include Grand Marnier truffles, pecan diamonds, Xaviar’s “Malamar” with marshmallow and chocolate, and a chocolate and caramel tart.
If that were not enough, Normandie Brie will feature a lavish cheese table with a huge assortment of international cheeses, and Real Coffee Roasters will offer chocolate martinis, espresso and imported teas.
Spirits will also be plentiful, featuring creative cocktails from super-premium Jewel of Russia Vodka and a top shelf selection of Banfi Vintners wines from Chile including CONCHA y TORO and EMILIANA, Natura Sauvignon Blanc, Natura Chardonnay, Natura Merlot & Natura Syrah, Palo Alto Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, Palo Alto Red Reserve & Casillero Riserva Privada.
A diverse selection of Silent Auction items will include a Judith Ripka jewelry piece, a gift certificate to Grand Prix New York Driving School and dinner for four at Eau Rouge, a spa treatment at the Doubletree Hotel, a Gunther Wilhelm knife set, an overnight stay at Mohegan Sun, dinner and jazz tickets to Blue Smoke in New York City, a Tommy Bahama casual clothing lot, U.S. Open tickets and other luxury items to be announced. 100% of the proceeds from the Silent Auction items will go directly to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
In addition to the Silent Auction, 200 mystery bottles of wine wrapped in silk wine wardrobes will be for sale at $25 per bottle.
The Festival will also feature two Grand Tastings sessions with food and wine sampling, celebrity chef demonstrations, a Top Chef Cook-off, expert led wine seminars and more.

Ticket prices for the Chefs Uncorked: Big Talent, Small Bites Kick-off Party are $60 per person, $90 per person for access to the VIP Indoor/Outdoor Cigar & Cocktail Terrace. Grand Tastings ticket prices range from $75 per person for the Grand Tasting to $432 per person for a VIP Platinum Pass including all events on Friday and Saturday night, Sunday brunch and overnight lodging at the Doubletree.
