Wine, food and art Auction will benefit Sunbury area Red Cross
SUNBURY -- An Art and Wine Auction to benefit the Sunbury Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will be held Friday at Spyglass Ridge Winery.
The event promises an evening of wine tasting, food and a showcase and auction of a variety of work from Susquehanna Valley artisans.
This year's theme is "A Night In Casablanca." The doors will open at 6, followed at 6:30 with hors d'oeuvres and a wine tasting. The live auction begins at 8.
Local artisans' contributions to the auction include a hand-embroidered quilt and afghan by Velma Kieffer, a child's wooden table and chair by John King, "New England Farm" painting by Marti Lee, "Barn Study" print by Mark Sassani, "The Stanley" print by Rodney Reis, a print by Jeffrey Lynch, "Northumberland" and "Baptism" prints by Bradley Shoemaker, "Bridge Over Pine Creek" print by Deanna Wiseman, jewelry by Whitney Anderson, Jennifer Wetzel, Charmaine Welby and Jamie Feaster, a print by Abigale Wenrich, purses by Brenda Herbert, an "Iris" etching and "Encounter by the Sea" by Florence Putterman, pottery by Michael Hart, wine selections and a wooden bowl from Andrew Aucker Wood Turned Creations.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the services and programs of the Sunbury Red Cross chapter, an agency of the United Way.
