Uganda: New Wines Hit Market
Kampala — A MULTIPLE of new wine brands have hit the market. Craig Lardner from the South African-based firm, Horse Mountain Wines, described the firm's products as "crushed and pressed off the farm."
The result, he said, was Horse Mountain wines, which are big, full of fruit, with ripe tannins balanced by generous wood extracts.
He said the wines were made in a 'new world' style designed for a broad but discerning market appeal.
Lardner said the firm's internationally-branded products that were launched at the Kampala Serena Hotel recently, included Shiraz, Pinotage, Mitchel and Quagga Ridge, with red, white and dry-rose blends.
The launch, he added, came after trial tasting. The products will be distributed in East African by Kampala-based firm, Multilines Distributors.
