Food, wine festival to benefit children

Honda and Providence Little Company of Mary Foundation, along with the Sandpipers, present the 24th annual For Our Children Food & Wine Festival on Sunday.

Guests will experience gourmet foods and fine wines from more than 90 restaurants and wineries. Silent and live auctions will feature unique gift items, sports tickets and memorabilia, plus dining, entertainment and travel packages.

Proceeds go to Providence LCM's Partners for Healthy Kids mobile pediatric van and Sandpipers philanthropic programs.

Opportunity tickets for the chance to win a 2009 Acura MDX will be sold at the event for $100. General admission is $150 prior to the event and $175 at the door.

The festival will run from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at American Honda Motor Co. headquarters, 1919 Torrance Blvd., Torrance.
