Celebrate Mother's Day with food, wine, and art

Still looking for that special event to commemorate the mom in your life?

Look no further. the Fine Arts Center (FAC) has you covered from paint brush to Hors D'oeuvres. It should be about relaxation. Mothers deserve some rest and recreation too; so combining elegant eats and culturally stimulating views seems a perfect match for a perfect celebration.

Coming up on May 7th, which is a Thursday, is the FAC's wine tasting social event. This social, from 5 - 8 pm, is a regular monthly occurrence in the Center, but has been uniquely altered this month. Rather than simply offering a mingling setting where visitors can munch while in the vicinity of the great art the FAC has to offer - this month, the art is coming to the food and wine.

The FAC plans to hold this month's wine tasting in the museum galleries themselves. Talk about having something to talk about and consider while you are enjoying various wines and appetizers catered by Garden of the Gods Gourmet! The wine theme this month is Sangria.

So, celebrate this Mother's Day doing something culturally enriching. Enjoy tasty treats, sip delicious vino, and most importantly, show the mother in your life how much you truly appreciate all that she has done.
