Citations issued to North County winery employees who served minor

  Employees of four North County wineries were issued citations over the weekend as part of a decoy operation.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Special Problems Unit deputies working on a state Alcohol Beverage Control project sent a 16-year-old female into 13 winery tasting rooms to see if any of the establishments would furnish alcoholic beverage to a minor.

The four employees issued citations were each from Chumia Vineyards, EOS Estate, Doce Robles and Peachy Canyon wineries.

Minor decoy operations are conducted across the county in licensed establishments that serve alcoholic beverages.
