Médoc in the ocean?

Parts of Bordeaux could be flooded by water in just a gew decades time.
As reported by the Weinreporter, experts draw a gloomy picture for parts of the Bordeaux wine-growing region. In particular the low-lying Medoc is likely to be affected, and may partly be submerged by the end of the century. Wine-growing communes located less than five metres above the current sea-level may disappear in a few decades, as they will be flooded either by the ocean or the Gironde. This would affect wine-growing communes such as Saint Christoly-Médoc. In addition, renowned Médoc communes such as Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe or Saint-Julien-Beychevelle are partly located at altitudes of less than five metres above sea-level. While these will not be submerged in the very near future, they must count on the water drawing ever closer.
