Tir na Nog Old Vines Grenache

Owned and operated by John Larchet, an Australian importer who selects independent, distinctive wines from all over Australia.
This particular label is his own, and it shows. He works tirelessly to produce the best fruit he can from Mclaren Vale.
In his native Gaelic language, Tir na Nog means "Land of Youth." It is from an Irish myth telling of a land where mortal time is suspended and everyone is young and beautiful. When he saw the plot of land in Mclaren Vale, it reminded him of this myth.
The 2006 Old Vines Grenache is purple in color with a spicy nose of black cherry, black raspberry and chocolate. Ripe, sweet and full-bodied to the point of opulence, it has a velvety texture, layers of flavor and will drink well from now to 2020.
