Wine-Tasting Is Planned For May 30

A wine-tasting has been scheduled here for Saturday evening, May 30, to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Titled "Taste of Spring Wine-Tasting," the event will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 9 p.m., and will take place at the General Morgan Inn.

There will be a silent auction from 6-8 p.m.

A spokesman for the sponsors of the event said that more than 35 wines from around the world would be available, along with non-alcoholic beverages and hors d'oeuvres.

Tickets for the fund-raiser, which cost $30 per person, are available at Greeneville Beverage, the General Morgan Inn, and Andrew Johnson Bank.

All proceeds of the event will go to the American Cancer Society, a spokesman emphasized.

Sponsors are Andrew Johnson Bank, Greeneville Federal Bank, Leonard & Associates, Unaka/Meco Corporation, Greeneville Beverage, and the General Morgan Inn.
