Italian Wine Alliance set up China Office

Italian Wine Alliance (IWA) announced that its two China offices has set up in Beijing and Shanghai in May, 2009. It made its deput at SIAL. Meanwhile, its website  www.italiawinealliance.com.cn. was opened to the public

IWA was set up on December 15th  2008. It was supported by Italian government and EU. IWA represented 9 wineries from 30 wine regions of Italy and produce more than 500 wines of wide price range. It aimed to promote Italian wines to all over the world.

IWA will promote Italian wines in China by various ways, including trade shows, wine tasting events, product promotions and media public relation activities. It is also doing market research to support its market strategy.

2009 is the first year that IWA and promote its wines in China market. It plans to hold series of wine promotions, training and education activities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. It will help importers know more about Italian wines. Its website will provide a platform for wine lovers communication.
