WA tipped to move to plastic wine bottles

The Wine Industry Association of Western Australia says a move by the industry to use plastic bottles would not have a negative impact.
It comes as South Australian winemaker Wolf Blass began using plastic bottles, rather than the traditional glass, in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Association president John Griffiths says he expects more WA wineries to follow.
"Well I mean we've seen a dramatic shift from corks to screw caps in the last five years, 10 years, and I think the same question would have been said about cork ... don't people enjoy the traditional aspect?" he said.
"Well people do but they also enjoy the convenience and ... I think glass bottles are being examined in exactly the same way."
