New Vine Starts Shipping Wine

New Vine Logistics, the fulfillment company based in Napa Valley has resumed shipping.

Vice president of marketing Josh Langford said the firm, which suddenly suspended operations two weeks ago, started shipping orders that had already been "in the cue" prior to the shutdown earlier this week. On Wednesday evening, the company also started processing new orders, Langford said.

Inertia Beverage Group reached a deal on June 3 with Silicon Valley Bank to acquire its debt position in New Vine, subject to due diligence. IBG has since been providing interim cash funding to New Vine for operations.

Langford said New Vine has sent checks to all employees who were let go on the Friday before the shutdown.

He also said that New Vine has lost just a handful of customers since the unexpected shutdown happened.

"Most have been holding out to see what's going on," he said. "For the most part we've had good support."
