The economic crisis has taken its toll on China wine industry.

Experts estimated that the weak consumption ability will impact fine wine sales. Competition is expected to heat up in future mid and low end wine market.

Stats have indicated that China wine production is getting on the right track. The total wine yields in the first 4 months have reached to 2.553 mil hl, which still showed a negative growth.

Wine yields in April increased by 6.9% year on year to 0.638 mil hl, whose growth rate reached to 6.9% from -9.4% in March.

However, global financial crisis is threatening China wine industry. A lot of enterprises are turning to focus on the mid and low end wine market.
