Xiamen becomes one of the biggest distribution centers of imported wine

According to Haicang Customs' statistics, Haicang Port imported 1,780,600 liters of wines in the first half of the year, up 873% than that of the corresponding period of 2007, accounting for 67% of total wine imports of Xiamen.

The amount accounts for 1.63 times the Port’s whole year’s imports of 2008. None of the imported wines were detected unqualified.

100% of these imported wines were bottled or boxed. And most of them were bottled 750ML wines mainly from France, Spain, Australia, America, Argentina and Italy. French wines accounted for 80.1% of total imports. And the proportion between red wines and white wines was 9:1.

    There were more than 50 national agents of imported alcoholic drinks in Xiamen. Xiamen became one of the biggest distribution centers for imported wine.
