An avid wine collector and strong believer in the role of wine in an active, easygoing lifestyle, Greg's aim is to produce approachable, delicious wines that are easily shared with friends and family. Since its introduction in 1999, Greg Norman Estates has been a success. Listed as one of Wine Spectator Magazine's Top 100 wines of the world in 2000, the Greg Norman wines continue to enjoy critical acclaim and growth, year after year.
Greg Norman has played in four Presidents Cups and in 1998 led his team to a win over the U.S. This year he will lead the International Team as Captain. Fred Couples will Captain the U.S. team.
The Presidents Cup, a team competition featuring 12 players from the United States and 12 players from around the world, excluding Europe - is held every two years, and since 1996 has alternated between the United States and international venues. The Presidents Cup was developed to give the world's best non-European players an opportunity to compete in international team match-play competition. The U.S. Team has won five of the seven previous Presidents Cups, and the only outright win by the International Team came at the 1998 event in Melbourne.
