Saint Clair Family Estate Pinot Noir trophies

Pinot Noir is a shining star for family owned Marlborough winery Saint Clair Family Estate, gaining further global recognition with award success at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London.  With 9500 entries this event is recognised as the best and biggest blind tasting in the world. 
 
The Saint Clair Pioneer Block 15 Strip Block Pinot Noir 2007 has been awarded two prestigious trophies, the New Zealand Pinot Noir Trophy, as well as the Marlborough Pinot Noir Trophy. This strengthens the developing reputation of Saint Clair as being a top, internationally recognised New Zealand Pinot Noir producer.
 
This wine was one of seven New Zealand Pinot Noir wines awarded gold medal status. Other regional trophies were awarded to Hinton Estate Vineyard (Central Otago Trophy) and Gladstone Vineyards (Wairarapa Trophy). 

Production of top quality award winning Pinot Noir from Saint Clair Family Estate is reinforced further through recent trophy success at the Decanter International World Wine Awards 2009, where the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 5 Bull Block Pinot Noir 2007 was awarded the Trophy for the top New Zealand Pinot Noir over 10 pounds.  To be awarded three impressive Pinot Noir trophies at two prestigious international wine awards is undoubtedly an outstanding achievement.
