Imported Wine Sales Soaring in China

Official figures showed that imported wine keep rising, with the bulk wine import bounce back.

From Jan. to May, Bottled wine ( under 2 litres per bottle) sales in China increased by 38% in May to 69,000 hectoliters. Bottled wine (above 2 litres per bottle) sales decreased by 35% in May to 63,000 hectoliters. the total volume of imported wine lifted by 34% year on year.

The average price of imported bottled wine remained $3865 per ton in May, the same with last year. Bulk wine price falls to $776 per ton in May, Imported bottles wines above 2 litres slipped 35% in May to 6.3 thousand tons.
