Systematical French wine training in Beijing
As usual, from the 7th August, the French wine seminar will be held cooperated with Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association.
SOPEXA, a semi-official organization affiliated to the French Ministry of Agriculture to promote French food & beverage, has invited several senior professional wine trainers from Taiwan to provide systematical French wine training since 1998, aiming at improving the French wine’s know-how for the personnel in the wine industry, and only opens to the professionals.

Qian- Hao Chen
Studied separately in Université de Bourgogne and Paris X, the major of enology and winegrowing management. The course of international Wine courses in California university, he studied in ASEH as well.
He is the member of wine authentication standard drafting committee. Now he is the international judgment of Germany wine College, wine course trainer of National Pingtung University of Science & Technology and Kaosiung Hospitality College. He writes the wine column for many media at the same time. Rich teaching experience, vivid teaching- way and an emphasis on class interaction are all his styles.
Thomas Chung
Professional F&B manager, rich practical experience, participated in the preparation of F&B department of Asia World Plaza Hotel – Taipei, Caesar Park Hotel – Kanting. Yuan Shan Membership Club – Kaohsiung and Sherwood Hotel – Taipei, appointed as the F&B manager of Evergreen Laurel Hotel – Taichung. And who conducts a very deep research on wine and various drinks and alcohol, assumes the office of wine course trainer as invited by Sopexa since 1995. In addition, he opens the wine column on the professional media. His teaching style is a useful simplification, and he place emphasis on class interaction.

Qualification of trainees: New practitioners in the field of wine sale and F&B; public consumers interested in wine
Outline for course: 5 periods, 3 hours/period.
Contents: General Introduction to French Wine, Classification of French Wine, Introduction of main production regions.
Trainees will have a taste of 4 kinds of French wine during each period. After this course, trainees will have fundamental knowledge on French wine and various production regions

Course B: F& B Training
Qualification of trainees: Experienced experts in the field of wine sale and F&B.
Outline for course: 5 periods, 3 hours/period.
Contents: Development of French Wine & Comparison with New
World wine (focus on export), Wine list arrangement and wine stock, Wine
and Food Matching, How to Train Practitioners in F&B.
Trainees will taste of 6 kinds of French wine during each period. Trainees will be provided not only the instructive experiences of lecturers but also the latest information on French wine.

Course C: Wine Industry Training
Qualification of trainees: Managerial personnel of hotel, restaurants, wine producers etc.; managerial personnel with certain wine knowledge and practical experience in wine production, management and other relevant operations.

Contents: Development and Trend of French Wine, Varieties of Grapes and Vintage
of Wines, Introduction of Main Domains and Chateaus, Growth, Picking and Extracting of Grapes and the Process of Wine Making, Technique of Wine Selection and Taste, Misunderstanding in Wine Selection, and How to Recommend Wine.
