A Fond du Lac native who now works as a designer in California will return to the area to show his series of wines.

Joel Templin, a Goodrich High School graduate and co-founder of Hatch Design in San Francisco, launched JAQK Cellars wines earlier this year. JAQK — short for Jack, Ace, Queen, King — features red and white wines with a gaming theme. The wines are available at UnCorked, 211 Watson St., Ripon, and Cujak's Wine Market, 47 N. Main St.

A wine tasting will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Cujak's Wine Market. Visitors should bring their own glass.

A five-course dinner featuring JAQK wines will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at America, 333 Watson St., Ripon. The meal costs $40 per person, plus taxes and tips, and seating is limited. For reservations, call (920) 748-3524 or (920) 748-3422.
