The Third Yantai International Wine Festival kicked off in Yantai


The Third Yantai International Wine Festival was held in Yantai, in the northeastern Shandong province, on September 23-29.
A total of 24 foreign-invested projects signed on the Festival, total investment amounts to 710 million U.S. dollars, of which 20 large projects are over 10 million dollars, and 2 large projects are over 100 million U.S.dollars. Total domestic-invested projects were 11, worth 10.385 billion RMB. The transaction value of imports and exports was 236 million dollars and domestic trade turnover of 280 million RMB.
The Wine Festival attracted visitors from more than 30 countries from Asia, Europe, America, Oceania, Africa, as well as the relevant government agencies, intermediary organizations and the wineries from 25 Chinese provinces. There were about 500 booths, 81 important delegations, total visitors amount to 100000. In addition, well-known wine producers from France, German, Australia, Spain and Hong Kong also took part in it. The scale is bigger than the former 2 years and visitors also outnumbered.
The four leading domestic wineries, Changyu, COFCO, Dynasty, and Weilong, showed on the festival. Enterprises from Germany, Australia, Spain, Hong Kong also participated the event. Those attending include the French Champagne Association, the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation and the Spanish Wine Market Research Association.
This event is sponsored by OIV, China Alcoholic Drinks Industry Association, China National Association for Liquor Circulation and People's Government of Shandong Province, organized by Yantai Municipal Government.
The Festival highlighted several “Theme Days” events for sino-overseas wine enterprises , such as European Wine Day, Chilean Wine Day, Changyu Day, Chinese Great Wall Day and Landsun Manor Day.
