The president of Wine Master Cellars LLC, Charles Malek, has purchased the company from its founder, Doug McCain, company officials said Thursday. Terms weren’t disclosed.

The eight-year-old Denver company makes VintageView wine storage and display racks. The racks have been sold around the world, officials said.

The transaction was negotiated by W.G. Nielsen & Co., a Denver-based investment banking firm.

“I am confident that the huge potential of this wine storage system in all markets can now be realized,” Malek said in a statement. “The company already has a proven track record and I am looking forward to expanding the brand to the next level.”
