Wine growers delay China trip

Area winegrape growers have rescheduled their marketing trip to China for March.

A delegation of winemakers was going to make the trip next month, but the Riverside County Office of Foreign Trade changed the date to allow more members to budget for the trip, which is intended to find markets for Temecula wines.

Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone will lead the trip.

China has dropped all taxes and tariffs on California wines and invited a delegation of grape growers from the Temecula Valley.
