China to provide half a million Euros for joint projects
China would provide half a million Euros in non-reimbursable funds for projects in the SMEs and agriculture sectors, Romanian interim Prime Minister Emil Boc said today (Mon).
Representatives of companies in both countries have inked commercial contracts for products worth 70 million dollars to be exported from Romania to China.
China is Romania's main commercial partner in Asia.
In 2008, trade between Romania and China totalled 3.8 billion dollars, and it reached 1.7 billion dollars this year by 31 August.
Over 9,500 Chinese companies have invested 330 million dollars in Romania.
Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said today during his visit to Romania that Beijing authorities would support Chinese companies’ investment in the Romanian metallurgical, chemical, car, aircraft, furniture and wine industries.
