Shanghai signature dishes

ENJOY delectable signature Shanghai dishes created by Chef Ng Chee Wah at Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant this month.

You will be spoilt for choice with four sumptuous dishes to tempt your taste buds. They include pan-fried Shanghai leek dumplings served with soy sauce (pix), deep-fried spring onion pancakes, Shanghainese stuffed beancurd and Shanghainese spicy pork.

Each dish is priced from RM10++ onwards.

Shanghai cuisine is characterised by a greater use of soy sauce, rice wine and rice vinegar. That is not surprising since China’s finest rice wine is produced in the city of Shaoxing in eastern Zhejiang province, while the famous Chenkiang black rice vinegar originated in Jiangsu province. Rice wine is widely used in these dishes.

The Shanghai promotion is available daily for lunch from noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

For reservations, call 03- 2161 7777 ext 8223.
