France voted world’s leading wine producer

Bottles of 2009 beaujolais nouveau adorn the shelves of a Paris store after France was crowned the world’s leading wine producer.
The International Organisation of Vine and Wine reported that France’s output of about 45.7 million hectolitres this year was enough to knock Italy (45.5 million) off top spot. (AFP)
