TPAC to host wine tasting, fundraising
The Bacchanalian Society of Nashville hosts a one-of-a-kind wine tasting and fundraiser at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
Tickets to the event are $15 per person, and must be purchased in advance at www.bacchsociety.com. This is a 21 and older event, according to a press release.
The theme for this wine tasting is ‘Organic Red Wine.’ Participants must come as teams of one, two or three, and are responsible for bringing three bottles of the same organic red wine. Upon arrival, two bottles from each team will be opened, numbered, covered and set out to taste. The third bottle will be set aside for the winning prizes.
Guests have two hours to taste and rate as many of the wines as time allows.
Scores will be tallied, and teams that bring the first, second and last place wines will win portions of the unopened bottles.
“Last year’s event at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center was a great success, raising more than $13,000 for educational and cultural programs at TPAC,” said Aaron Armstrong, event co-chair. “It was a complete sell out, with more than 1,000 in attendance, and we expect a similar turn out this year. Please don’t wait to purchase your tickets. It’s going to be a fun, fulfilling night in beautiful downtown Nashville.”
Visit www.bacchsociety.com for more information and to pre-pay, as this event is likely to sell out. TPAC is located at 505 Deaderick Street, Nashville, TN 37243. Guests should enter under the marquee at the corner of Deaderick and 6th Avenue.
