Imported wines in China expected to fall in price

According to Shenzhen Customs, over 6000 batches of wines entered China through Shenzhen Port in 2009, a total of 10.355 million liters, up 35% compared to 2008. Municipal data shows,  more than 800 enterprises in Shenzhen are dealing with wine production, processing, management, import and export.

"Under the influence of the financial crisis, the global wine prices will continue to show a downward trend in 2010." Liu Jinjun , City Wine Association Secretary-General believe that, with imported wines entered the table of extraordinary people, they have to compete with domestic wine which have price advantages.  

Li told China Wine News, imported wines is currently stepping up to the group purchase market , low-end imported wines will be the mainstream. In 2010, group purchase of imported wine in Shenzhen market is expected to obtain a growth of 50% ~ 60%.
