Learn How to Talk about Wine Like an Expert
Attendees of This Interactive Workshop Learn About Aromas Commonly Found in Wines, What Wines Suit Individual Palates and Where to Find Great Wine Values.
(PRWEB) January 7, 2010 -- On Thursday, January 14th 2010 the “Southwestern Wine Guy” Jim Hammond, will speak about wine at the Los Griegos Library, 1000 Griegos Road NW from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
Hammond’s interactive workshop will focus on how understanding aromas can enhance the wine tasting experience. Attendees will be able to breathe in concentrated scents to isolate unique aromas in a wine’s bouquet, a key step in understanding wine tasting methodology, and gain knowledge of the best wine for their palates. In addition, Jim will also give details on where to find great wine values. No alcohol will be present at the workshop.
“Jim's presence is like a good friend sharing his years of knowledge with you - whether you are an experienced wine enthusiast or a beginner just learning the ropes,” said Cris Abbott.
Hammond will also offer selections from his book, Wines of Enchantment, covering the history of grape growing and winemaking in New Mexico, and wine etiquette, and sign copies of his book, available for sale at a discount.
Two other workshops will take place in January.
January 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Edgewood Library on 95 Hwy 344, Edgewood (505) 281-0138
January 30th from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. East Mountain Library located at 1 Old Tijeras Road, Tijeras (505) 281-8508.
All workshops are open to the public; contact the libraries for details. Admission is free, due to the location no wine will be available for tasting.
