VINISUD held an wine tasting for China importers

VINISUD organizers held an wine tasting specifically for the Chinese and other country’s wine importers on Feb 23 afternoon.

The organizers carefully selected wines from the Languedoc - Roussillon region and made comparison with wines from other regions. The tasting was led by Mr. Dominique Laporte, who won the award “France’s Best Sommelier” in 2004.

In more the one hour, Chinese wine importers tasted seven groups of wines, three bottles each. Each group consists of one bottle from southern France as well as one from the New World countries such as Chile and Argentina, or from Burgundy and Bordeaux. Mr. Dominique Laporte gave an explanation and contrast for the importers.

According to the organizers, the purpose of the tasting is to make an comparison between  southern France wines and wines from other countries, so that consumers around the world can be aware of the high-quality of southern French wines.
