Hong Kong to host 'Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2010' from May 25
New Delhi, Mar 21 : Catering to the delectable tastes of connoisseurs of Asia-Pacific region, the international wine and spirits exhibition 'Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2010' once again travels to Hong Kong between May 25-27.
The three-day event, which takes place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, will host the largest showcase of wines and spirits ever exhibited under one roof in Asia, besides generating roaring business deals.
Over 750 exhibitors from about 30 countries, including top-notch ones like the US, Spain, Chile and Germany, will partake in the show that will be spread across an unprecedented 8,000 sqm floor area, either through individual stalls or national pavilions.
Besides, sites have also been reserved for the Italian, Argentinean and Rumanian pavilions as well as for companies and regions of China and South Africa.
While French pavilion will be managed by 'Sopexa', which will also bring together various French wine-producing companies, French producers from Bordeaux (Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Barton and Guestier, Castel Frères, Cordier-Mestrezat, Joanne, Veyret Latour), from Burgundy (Louis Jadot, Maison Louis La-tour, Patriarche), from Champagne (de Telmont), Alsace (Grands Chais de France), Languedoc (Jeanjean), Côtes du Rhône (Chapoutier), Sancerre (Henri Bourgeois), Cognac (Frapin, de Fus-signy) and Gers (Tariquet, Joy Selection) will also be present in large numbers.
While offering industry professionals a unique opportunity to survey wines and spirits from all over the world at a single location, the exhibition expects to see footfalls of over 9,000 professional visitors including importers, wholesalers, food and beverage managers, sommeliers, restauranteurs, and hyper and supermarket buyers.
With its unique identity, the Vinexpo Academy will feature a number of specific themes, including studying new products, improving tasting skills, pairing food and wine, learning new sales techniques and understanding how Asian markets work.
Besides, a series of lectures, presentations and tastings delivered by well-known celebrities and exhibitors will form part of the 3-day exhibition.
Earlier, Hong Kong hosted the 'Vinexpo' in 1998, 2006 and 2008.
This is the 8th show of 'Vinexpo' outside France.
