NAPA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JARVIS, producer of cave fermented, luxury premium Napa Valley wines, announces a partnership with the American Wine & Spirits division of Southern Wine and Spirits, California to represent them in California.
Southern Wine & Spirits is the nation’s leading distributor of fine wine and spirits. SWS of America is the single largest wine and spirits distributor in the United States operating in multiple states throughout the country.
“American Wine & Spirits enthusiasm for great wine, along with their dedication to their customers, made them the ideal choice for representing the award winning JARVIS wines throughout California,” stated William Jarvis, President. He continued with “this definitely provides our customers with more options for enjoying JARVIS at their local restaurants and wine shops.”
Recent accolades for JARVIS wines include:
Lake William Bordeaux Blend: Best of Class, Judges’ Choice Award from the largest competition ever of American Wines
Cabernet Sauvignon: 94 pts Beverage Testing Institute
Will Jarvis’ Science Project: 93 point Wine Enthusiast, 92 pts. Wine Spectator, Platinum Medal Winemaker Challenge
Chardonnay Reserve: Best of Class, Judges’ Choice Award from the largest competition ever of American Wines
William and Leticia Jarvis acquired a Napa Valley home in the mid 1980s. Then, with the assistance of world-renown winemaker Dimitri Tchelistcheff, who continues with JARVIS as a consultant, they spent a decade carefully developing the estate vineyards, followed by the winery which opened in 1995. Unlike other wineries, JARVIS is totally underground in a 45,000 square foot cave, an eco-friendly facility that houses fully operational wine production and cooperage as well as the winery offices and hospitality space. The focus on quality began in the vineyards when just four zones totaling 37 acres were cherry-picked from the 1,320 acre JARVIS Estate. Limited-production, luxury wines that total less than 9,000 cases annually are the result of this commitment to quality.
