As New York wine promotion effort launches Saturday

The New York Wine Network — a new effort to promote the state’s wineries and wine brands — will launch on Saturday with an event at Georgetown Wine & Spirits in Perinton.

The Moseley Road establishment will be the first of six retail outlets in the Rochester area that will feature a Wine Network LCD display showcasing wine information, food-pairing tips and other wine industry news.

The event at the Perinton retail store will be from 3 to 6 p.m. and feature a wine tasting.
