Master-Class And Tasting To Help The Chilean Wine Industry
The coming 23rd of April will see a charitable wine tasting organised by The Wine Academy of Spain (TWA), the proceeds of which will go to wine growers affected by the earthquake which took place on the 27th February this year.
The event will be held from 6pm onwards at the Wellington Hotel in Madrid, hosting one hundred tasters for the a Master-class and tasting of 12 wines. Pancho Campo, MW and president of TWA will be the one to lead the tasting. He will be accompanied by other celebrities of the wine sector such as Carlos Falcó (Marqués de Griñón), Javier Zacagnini (Aalto and Ossian), Mariano García (Mauro and Aalto), Christopher Cannan (Clos Figueras and Espectacle) and Miguel Gil (Bodegas Juan Gil and El Nido).
This charity event for the people of Chile reflects TWA’s social responsibility, as well as that of all of the groups and companies who are collaborating in this event. These companies recognise the importance of working together with those people who had made a living out of wine before suffering from some type of unfortunate event, leaving them without their main form of subsistence. As well as TWA, the Charity Tasting is being supported by the Chilean Embassy in Spain, The Wellington Hotel, Wakaya Comunicación, Verema, Vila Viniteca, Lavinia and Wines of Chile, the institution in charge of distributing the proceeds of this charitable event through the initiative known as “Levantando Chile”.
The Grand Tasting will be made up of a selection of wines including:
