Xiamen Customs wine imports doubled in the first quarter

In the first quarter of this year, the Xiamen Customs imported 2.043 million liters of wine, worth 6.57 million U.S. dollars, increase of 1.2 times and 1.6 times respectively year on year.

In January, due to Chinese lunar new year, Xiamen wine imports reached a record high of 996,000 liters, up 88.1% comparing with the same period of last year.

In February and March, wine imports were 527 thousand liters and 520,000 liters respectively, up by 94.6% and 3 times. 1.493 million liters of wine imports come from EU, the main source of imports, an increase of 2.5 times, 73.1%; imports from Australia 200,000 liters, down 33.9%, accounting for 9.8%.
