Wine industry to launch new network

Industry leaders are to meet Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Georgetown Wine & Spirits in Perinton to launch the New York Wine Network, a point-of-purchase media network.

Georgetown Wine & Spirits, on Moseley Road, is the first of six locations in the Rochester area to feature the wine-network display, a showcase of wine facts and education, tips on food pairings, wine awards and other industry-related content.

"The New York wine industry is in a unique position nationally, to be the first to utilize technology in a way not currently being done in the wine industry," said Christopher Cornett, co-founder and managing partner of the network, in a statement this week.
