Magnanimus Wine Group, a 10000-case producer of Mendocino sustainable/organic/biodynamic wines owned by Brown-Forman scion Owsley Brown III, is partnering with Gary & Anna Breen of GMB Realty Partners to assume control of Fetzer's Valley Oaks hospitality operation. Shuttered since 2006, the core 50-acre property includes guest lodging, gardens, events center, tasting room, and its renowned culinary center. The surrounding 100 acres will remain with Brown-Forman. A second, as yet unconfirmed Mendocino winery may be brought into the new venture. A "we got the keys party" will be held during Hopland's Passport Weekend of 1-2 May with a full early June opening scheduled. In conjunction with this Magnanimus will vacate its tasting facilities current located in Ukiah's Tierra Tasting Room.

'Campovida', the name of the new facility, will be open Thursdays-Sundays pouring the wines of Magnanimus's four in-house labels Ukiah Cellars, Talmage Selection, Old River Vintners, and Mendocino Farms.
