Russian winery to exhibit at London International Wine Fair for the first time
Russian wine will be exhibiting at the London International Wine Fair (LIWF) for the first time in the show's 30-year history next month (May).
Abrau-Durso, which is one of the oldest wineries from Russia and the former Soviet Union, will showcase its portfolio of sparkling wines in the UK for the first time.
Abrau-Durso was established in 1870 and today is the only producer of sparkling wine employing Méthode Traditionelle production methods on a commercial scale.
The winery has a range of sparkling wines encompassing Demi-Sec, Brut and Rosé styles from select vintages, made using Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, as well as Riesling.
Abrau-Durso will show the following wines on stand Q10: "Imperial Cuvee L'?rt Nouveau Brut" Cuvée 2007; "Imperial Collection Vintage Brut" Cuvée 2001; Abrau-Durso Premium Gold 2006; Abrau-Durso Premium Rosé 2008; Abrau-Durso Premium Demi-sec 2006; Abrau-Durso Premium Rouge Semi-sweet 2007 and a selection of young Charmat sparkling wines.
