WineCare Logistics announced its Green Initiative while hosting all Napa county Chamber mixer on April 29. “Going Green is a serious responsibility not only to the environment but our future generations.” said Amit Nischal, Winecare Logistics Manager. “We have teamed up with United Parcel Service (UPS) and Arbor day foundation to offer two green initiatives to our customers at 1% of their shipping cost.”

Each wine shipment will contribute to growing trees with help of Arbor day foundation and with UPS Carbon Neutral program money will be spend in programs to offset the carbon emissions created by shipping a package. At the end of year WineCare will match what they have collected from customers to plant additional trees. “Helping our mother Earth one shipment at a time” said Nischal.

WineCare Logistics provides direct to consumer wine fulfillment and bonded storage to wineries in Napa and Sonoma County. Last year it reduced paper use by 85% and this year it plans to reduce another 10%. “We haven’t launched a war against paper but you can be more productive and efficient investing in technologies that reduce paperwork and better your operations. We have also started using cardboard pallets instead of wood pallets that are as strong and durable.”

Cardboard pallets, growing trees, reducing paper, UPS Carbon Neutral program & motion sensitive lighting are some of the ways WineCare logistics is trying to help the environment. For information on company contact Amit Nischal at amit@winecarelogistics.com
