CASTEL eyeing Wenzhou wine market

Marie Lise Molinier, the Agricultural Counselor of French Embassy to China, along with Alain CASTEL, managing director of France Castel Freres SAS, the NO.1 wine giant in Europe, inspected Wenzhou wine markets on June 24.

After years of cultivation, Wenzhou has become a wine distribution center of China. Many imported wine brand entered china market via Wenzhou. Customs statistics show there are more than 100 wine agents in Wenzhou, with an average annual growth of over 200% from 2006 to 2009.

   

From January to May in 2010, the value of imported wines in Wenzhou reached 11,410,000 dollars, up by 137.7% than last year.    

“Since Castel series entered the chinese market ten years ago, we have achieved good sales performance and the continual promotion of brand recognition. I believe, as china market getting more and more mature, imported wine will enter everyday life of each ordinary home. Alain CASTEL said.
