Invivo New Zealand wines gain popularity
There is a successful new kid on the wine block despite the challenges of launching during an economic recession, the supposed wine glut and significant discounting. Invivo is a boutique premium New Zealand Winery with a positive attitude that is quickly gaining popularity.
Their wines have been receiving awards and plaudits from wine critics and wine lovers alike. The Invivo Sauvignon Blanc is now being served on Air New Zealand after a rigorous blind tasting process by the Air New Zealand tasting team. They received 4 gold medals and two 5 star ratings for their 2009 vintage including Gold at the 2010 Decanter World Wine Awards, winner of the UK White Wine of the Year up to £9.99 at the Quality Drinks Awards.
Invivo's unique marketing approach has also been rewarded, in late 2009, Invivo was announced as the winner of the AMCOR Innovation in New Zealand Wine Marketing trophy by the New Zealand Wine industry - a fantastic achievement considering the intense growth and competition from New Zealand wineries and only 12 months after their first vintage.
Creative brand advertising, alignment with an iconic fashion label, sponsorships with a legendary Bronx/New York artist, Sydney artist-run Gaffa gallery, exhibitions at the Venice Biennale in Italy, the World Music Expo plus outstanding wines are all part of Invivo in the international marketplace.
Recently, Invivo made national and international news by appointing UK wine legend Angela Mount to manage the Invivo brand in the UK. Angela famously had her taste buds insured for £10million by her former bosses at supermarket giant Somerfield's where she was the head buyer for wine.
