Romanian wine producers meet with potential Chinese buyers

As part of the “The Week of Romanian Wine” events at Romania’s Pavilion at World Expo 2010 – Shanghai, a meeting took place today, 1 June, between Romanian producers and Chinese businessmen interested in importing wines from Romania. The Chinese partners tasted and praised the Romanian wines on display, the conditions being put in place for a collaboration in this domain.
 
Elaine Xu, international supplies manager of a company from Shanghai and a wine tasting expert, said: “We spent six hours tasting all the types of wine, but it was worthwhile. I have met here potential wine suppliers, and this is very useful to me. I would like to thank the Romanian officials and friends from Romania.”
 
Also today, Romania’s Pavilion was visited by a delegation of journalists from Hungary. They appreciated the quality of Romanian wines, discussed with the producers and had dinner at Restaurant Maria.
