A deal was signed between Salon Delamotte and Camus Yuanlui Trade Co. in Shanghai. Mr. Didier Depond, CEO of Delamotte and Salon attended the ceremony. Delamotte1997 and Salon 1997 made its deput in China market. It means one of the world’s most expensive champagne brand formally entered China’s wine market.

Champagne Salon is prepared in the Blanc de Blanc style. Laurent-Perrier group owns the Salon brand of champagne. This brand of champagne is enjoyed by many and is one of the most expensive champagnes in the world. In the early twentieth century, Eugene Aime Salon founded the Salon champagne. This is exclusively prepared from the Chardonnay grapes with exclusive taste and finesse. The first vintage taste of Salon was introduced in 1921 and until 2006; only 37 vintages Salon have been introduced. The exclusivity of this champagne makes it very desirable and expensive. On his death, his niece took over the production and later the Laurent-Perrier group became owners.

Salon is manufactured from purely chardonnay grapes. The grapes are grown exclusively in the area of champagne and its surrounding areas. The wines that are manufactured, the average age is around 25 years and can reach up to as old as forty years. The grapes are selected from twenty contract growers. However, the grapes picked from the original Salon area is roughly one hectare. The Salon brand is exclusively released under the Champagne Salon name and approximately three vintages are released per decade. They are initially fermented in stainless steel and are later fermented for many years in bottles. The brand is exclusive, as the entire vintage is not released together. Only few are released at one particular time. The remaining is allowed to age.
