Pernod Ricard forms global wine arm

Pernod Ricard has formed a new company to develop the strategy of its portfolio of global wine brands.

Premium Wine Brands will be headed by Jean-Christophe Coutures, as chairman and chief executive officer.

He is currently chief executive of Pernod Ricard Pacific.

The company will oversee a portfolio which includes Jacob’s Creek, Brancott and Campo Viejo.

Pernod Ricard has also bought its entire portfolio of vodka brands together under the umbrella of The Absolut Company.

The company will be charged with developing the group’s strategy across brands including Absolut and Wyborowa, plus speciality spirits Malibu and Kahlua.
