A lawyer by training, CH’NG Poh Tiong (since 1998) writes the world’s oldest, continuous wine column in Chinese in the world in Singapore’s largest circulation Chinese newspaper, the Lianhe Zaobao. He is also publisher of The Wine Review (since 1991), the oldest wine publication in South-East Asia, Hong Kong and China. Ch’ng also publishes, since 2000, the world’s first “Guide to Bordeaux in Chinese”. A columnist for Decanter magazine, Ch’ng also writes a blog and a column for Sina.com, and Food & Wine magazine. He is Regional Chairman, Middle East/Far East/Asia, of Decanter World Wine Awards and founder of ICCCW – International Congress of Chinese Cuisine & Wine.
