Changyu to build new winery in Western China

Yantai Changyu Pioneer Wine Company Ltd. , a top wine producer in China, discloses that it has started construction of three chateaus in the west of the country this year.

The three chateaus will be built within three years, and they will form alliances with six major chateaus at home and four big chateaus abroad, covering high-end market.

The Shandong-based wine producer saw over a quarter of operating revenue come from high-end chateaus last year, which zoomed by 40 percent over a year earlier. The company also announces that it added 50,000 mu vineyards in the western region this year, expanding grape planting area to 250,000 mu nationwide.

Yantai Changyu raked in CNY 2.48 billion income from main business and CNY 580 million net profit in the first half of the year, leaping by 26 percent and 27 percent over the previous year separately.
